A BRIEF HISTORY

Pipette is one of the most indispensable tool for a technician working in a bio/pharmaceutical lab facility in a day-to-day work schedule. Due to the heavy use of this instrument on a daily basis, there is wear and tear in the parts which affects the accuracy of these devices. Periodic service and calibration ensures precision of the device and accuracy of the test results which translates fruitfully in to the billions of dollars that is poured every year into research and experimentation. Pipette vendors knew this from the beginning but began servicing at the vendor’s facility or one had to ship the pipettes to the vendor. This would hamper a technician’s work schedule and increase significant delays in producing results for the research organizations

Sensing a severe lack of on-site service for these established Pharmaceutical companies and growing bio-medical startups, American Pipette Services, a group of very senior and experienced technicians working for the pipette vendors decided to form a company and provide the much needed convenience at a cost-effect price at the research facility itself. The service that was offered was same day (couple of hours) service which include pipette cleaning, replacing broken parts and calibration to validate the accuracy of the instrument. This reduces the turn-around-time for the technician to be productive back at work and saves thousands of dollars for the companies in logistics (multi-vendor companies), insurance (transport breakage) and the biggest saving factor of all “TIME”
